Shining Light opened it’s doors in 1964 with a passion to reach souls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As an independent church, we seek to lift up Jesus Christ in every ministry our church is apart of. With a strong emphasis on the preaching of God’s Word, our services are traditional.
Our church benefits from a long history of community involvement, prayer, and a passion for missions. We desire that Christ be magnified in all we do.
Pastor Gary Blalock is the Senior Pastor of the Shining Light Baptist Church. Pastor Blalock brings a wealth of ministry experience to Shining Light, having pastored two previous churches.
Pastor Blalock did not grow up in a Christian home, but accepted Jesus Christ in his twenties. Later, God called Pastor Blalock to preach and God has led the way.
